All right, someone posed a question that probably everyone is wondering: What/Who is the Silent Society? Well, here is a nice, detailed explanation for you.

The Silent Society is a group of teenage superheroes, who work together to bring about the restoration of MD, which was destroyed in a nuke attack against D.C. The radiation of the nuke affected their DNA, giving them strange powers. Here's the first chap of the 3rd book:

To fill you in on what happens, Mystica betrays the SS a total of 3xs (not all in this one book), and not all of them were willingly. So, after the third time, instead of begging her friends for forgiveness and having to suffer through being untrusted for the rest of her life, she killed herself and became someone else to get a fresh start, a.e. The Raven.
The Wraith was Mystica's boyfriend, and he believed in her even when she didn't believe in herself. He never believed she actually died, which is where he was right. He ultimately figures it out, and The Raven, who has moved on, forbade him to tell the others, not even her own brother, Keatah. Another trick to The Raven, is that her powers keep evolving, growing. She's the most powerful superhero in the world, and she keeps getting stronger! Everyone is scared of her, except for her protoge' School Girl, and Wraith. It's Wraith who is 'singing' the song, about his love, The Raven.
